The Boathouse Has Moved!!

Nope, not from blogspot (you're reading it here, right?) No, the Nottingham Boathouse is now in Omaha NE. We made the change in December.

So what does this mean? Well, we'll still be building boats, but maybe we'll be looking at different kinds. After all there's no ocean, bays or sounds around here, but plenty of lakes and rivers. I sense that a smaller, more agile craft is in the making! Stay tuned! As soon as the weather warms a bit, we'll start to see what comes out the doors.

Refinements

Added a couple of foam blocks to rest my knees against. Tried them out today and they work well. I think I may add some under my thighs to add a bit more support. Eventually, NO ONE will fit in this boat but me! LOL

Today's Progress Report

A busy day today. Finished the swallowtail. Cut out the cockpit in the deck. Put the glass reinforcement around the coaming on the inside of the deck. Planed down the gunwales to accept the deck. And (just for grins) put the hull in the truck and it would appear that I'll be able to carry FOUR boats! Three on the rack and Moon Sprite in the bed. She doesn't extend much further out the back than Free Spirit does.

Progress Continued

Today's accomplishments: the inside of the hull is glassed, and the coaming is glued to the deck.
