Progress Continued

Today's accomplishments: the inside of the hull is glassed, and the coaming is glued to the deck.

On the left, the supporting structure for the tail. On the right, the coaming assembly ready to mount to the deck.

The Work Continues

This morning, I sanded out the body, getting it ready for glassing. I also out the rim on the coaming. Once it dries, I'll cut the coaming out.
Yep, I think I'll have her ready on time.

I also decided I'd post a couple from my morning paddle today.

Update on Progress

I was reminded last weekend that some folks actually follow this blog (thanks, Jeremy!). So here's where I stand with Moon Sprite. I've got the sides glued to the bottom and the inside sanded. Need to glass the inside. Then make the coaming. I'm going to try to get all that done this weekend. It'll be too blamed hot to do much of anything else.

Progress on Moon Sprite

OK so today, I ripped a 1X10 and got a couple of 12' strips. These were attached to the sides.

The Sides

Here's the sides for the new boat, cut and shaped.

Update

OK I' haven't fallen off the face of the earth. The dinghy is still a work in process, and I've started another boat as well: a Touryak. This is a simple design that intrigued me. Here's the pics of the bottom already cut, the top, and the sides. This project should go fairly quickly.
